I am so excited! I can't wait to finish my scarf. I recently had to frog about 3 hours of work on it but I am back on track now. But anyways so excited to finish it because I just found a pattern for matching wrist warmers. I might need to tinker with the pattern to make it an exact match but it is pretty darn close.
I didn't realize how easy it can be to make them. They are worked in the round until you come to the thumb hole and then you work back and forth until you have an opening large enough and then just join back in the round again. That sounds so simple!

Tipsy Ribbed Scarf.
Just started this scarf for my boyfriend's sister. I really like it! It is knitting up so fast and is not very thick, which is good because we live in the desert. The pattern is called Tipsy Rib Scarf and is from Flint Knits. I downloaded it from Ravelry. I am using Vanna's Choice yarn in Dusty Purple.

Drool Worthy Knitting Bag.
Just spotted this bag at Knitpicks.com. I love that site! They have an amazing assortment of yarn and needles etc. I have the options interchangeable circular knitting needle set in Zephyr. Love them! I also love how fast Knit Picks addresses any issues. They have wonderful customer service.
Cannot wait to go home (it's my Friday!) and finish my sock I started the other day. I am really having a hard time picking up the stitch between the heel and instep when knitting from toe up. I keep grabbing the bar between the stitches, which I know isn't right, because then I end up with a big hole. Oh well. Just need to keep trying! Next I think I am going to try a pair of fingerless gloves... :)

Socks!
Just started learning how to knit socks. Using the book pictured above: Toe-Up 2-at-a-Time Socks by Melissa Morgan-Oakes. I started with two socks like the book says but messed up on one of them, so I decided to finish the one that was still ok and then try 2 at a time next time. Almost done with my first sample sock!

Karen's Skiing Scarf.
This is a scarf for one of the nurses I work with. She is going skiing this winter and wanted me to make a unique scarf for her.
Started this one 09-16-10, finished 10/16/10. Will post pics after it is blocked.

Irish Hiking Scarf.
This is my first attempt at knitting cables. I gave this scarf to my mom during my recent trip back home for a visit. The completed project took about 1 month to do. It turned out very pretty! I really like knitting cables!

About this blog.
Hello Everyone!
I am creating this blog as a place to keep track of knitting stuff. This will also be a place to post pics of my WIPs and the finished projects. The picture behind the blog title is my very first attempt at knitting. I am very proud of it!
I am self taught, and have only been knitting since this summer, so I am very new to it. Feel free to comment and give pointers, advice and links to helpful websites.
Thanks for stopping by!
